Photography books

Books on design can be bought from Zwemmer Design which opened in 1998 and filled a gap left by the demise of the Design Council bookshop. With a contemporary interior design by sea Design, the shop completed the trio of Zwemmer specialist shops in central London. The range and diversity of titles and products reflect the interests of the design community, be they specialist or amateur, professional or student. Special events such as launches of books on design and signings often take place, with many of these open to the public.

Books online from Zwemmer explore this dedication to the world of visual culture, which is exemplified both by Zwemmer staff, many of whom are drawn from the art world, and by the critically acclaimed Zwemmer Gallery.

Dedicated to film and photography since 1988, though opened some years previously, this shop is located close to the other two Zwemmer specialist shops in central London. An exciting selection of books, sourced globally and often available before UK publication, and a dedicated and knowledgeable staff have resulted in this shop receiving excellent recommendations from the press, as well as from the photographers and film-makers who regularly visit the shop and sign copies of their books. Overseeing all is Tara, the queenly black pug, a firm favourite with customers.
